Buddy was born in Raleigh, NC on April 22, 1982 to James “Bud” Albert Moss Jr. and Patricia “Trish” Ivey Moss. He loved his family deeply and found joy in fishing, hunting and his work. After taking over the family grading business, Buddy poured his heart into the company and valued the relationships he built with his employees and the contractors he worked alongside each day.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Bud and Trish Moss; his sister and brother-in-law, Crystal and John Soles; and his niece and nephew, Addison and Jake Soles, all of Wendell. He also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Buddy’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel, 12830 Clayton Boulevard, Clayton, North Carolina, with Reverend Gordon Ellsworth officiating.
A reception will follow immediately after the service at McLaurin Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Buddy's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
