A gathering of family and friends for Joye will be held Sunday, December 31, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 US 70 Business Highway West, Clayton, North Carolina 27520.
Joye was born February 27, 1951 in Wake County to the late Corbett Pearce and the late Lela Phillips Pearce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry T. Pearce and a sister, Janet P. Koepp
Joye was employed by the North Carolina State Department of Motor Vehicles. Her years of retirement were spent enjoying time with husband, her family and her animals.
She is survived by her husband of 50 year, Robert "Bob" W. Batchelor; sister Jimmie Pearce Jones, and several nieces and nephews.
The kindness of neighbors and friends and the loving care given Joye by Rochelle, Missy, Andrea and Charmin are greatly appreciated by Robert and her family.
