Kathleen Kruit Robinson

Kathy was born in Hammond, IN June 19, 1949, to William E. and Ellen R. (Broomhead) Kruit. She and her family moved to Wausau, WI when she was still a young girl. She graduated from Wausau High School in 1967 and went to work for Employers / Wausau Insurance. She married Leon Robinson June 9, 1973, in Wausau, WI. Sometime later they moved to Indianapolis, IN where their daughter Emily was born. Kathy took several years off work with the birth of their only child and committed to raising and guiding her. The family would spend those years in Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana.

Kathy spent the majority of her working life in the Insurance Industry as well as managing the offices at Conveyance Inc. and Bryan Road Trucking, both in the Indianapolis, IN area, where she and her husband would eventually retire. In June, 2015, Kathy and Leon moved to Clayton, NC to live with their daughter Emily and her family as both had developed serious health issues.

She is survived by her mother; Ellen Kruit of Wausau, WI, daughter; Emily (Andy)Lindsey , grand-daughters; Katy, Cassidy and Camden Lindsey, grandson; Joe Lindsey, all of Clayton, NC, siblings: Rose (Bill) Johnson, Debbie (Vince) Gau, Phyllis (Pete) Seubert & Jack (Laurie) Kruit, all of Wausau, WI, sister-in-law; Janet (Rosco) Staton of Cleveland, MO, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Bill Kruit in 2002 and her husband Leon Robinson late last year.

A memorial service will be held at McLaurin Funeral Home on April 23, 2016 at 11 A.M. in Clayton, NC
