MARIE JOHNSON PRYSE September 28, 1933 – June 24, 2014 CLAYTON: Marie Johnson Pryse, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Johnston Union Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend Tim Heath officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She was a native of Johnston County and the daughter of the late Hunter H. Johnson and the late Mabel Lee Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Laura J. Hobbs; and two brothers Carl E. Johnson and Thomas W. Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Robert G. Pryse Sr.; and two sons, Robert G. Pryse, Jr. and his wife Michele and Randall M. Pryse and his wife Dee; 3 grandchildren Amy Smith and husband Stephen, Kellie Harris and husband Blaise and Amber Jarman and husband Brian; 4 great grandchildren, Kaci and Cole Smith and Gabriel and Gracelin Harris; three step grandchildren, Jessica and Stephanie Piotrowski and Michael Boyer; one sister, Sandra J. Brown; one brother, H. Shelton Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at the church prior to the service.
