Mrs. Melinda M. Mitchell, 90, of Clayton passed away Thursday, April 14 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. She was born June 11, 1925 in Tuskegee Institute, Alabama daughter of the late Jack and Reola Greene.
The funeral service will be held at twelve o’clock noon, Saturday, the 23rd of April at Johnston Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband, John S. Mitchell, two daughters, Patricia Everett of Morris Plains, NJ and Allison Mitchell of Clayton, one grandson, Sean Mitchell and wife Tasha of Greenville, NC, two granddaughters, Michelle Everett and Mallory Everett both of Morris Plains, NJ, and a sister, Betty Williford of Tuskegee Institute, AL.
The family will receive friends Saturday, the 23rd of April from eleven o’clock in the morning until twelve o’clock noon at Johnston Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Arrangements are being handled by McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton, NC.
