He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol, and sons, Rick and Brian. He also leaves behind his siblings: Donna Bradford, Jan DePari, Pam Needle, Jeff Mooney, and Tom Mooney, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
Rick was a simple man who found his greatest joy in his family. He was deeply involved in his sons' lives, spending countless hours coaching and cheering them on at soccer, hockey, and baseball games. He was especially proud to support them at motocross tracks on weekends, always their biggest fan.
Summer vacations in Virginia Beach were a highlight, often spent relaxing by the ocean or indulging his playful side at the arcade, where Pac-Man was a favorite. A lifelong sportsman, Rick enjoyed bowling in leagues and playing softball. His love for the small pleasures in life was clear—Dunkin' Donuts coffee and Munchkins were his favorite treats.
Rick had a fascination with weather and loved watching a good thunderstorm roll in. He had a deep appreciation for music, especially oldies, and could recall a memory or story with nearly every song. One of his most treasured holiday traditions was attending the Boston Pops Christmas show.
In his later years, he enjoyed quiet days spent on the patio, soaking up the sun with the family dogs by his side. Professionally, Rick was the proud founder and operator of a successful construction business that thrived for over five decades.
Rick will be remembered for his warmth, his love for his family, and the simple joys he embraced in life. He is now at rest.
