He was born in Jersey City, NJ on September 25, 1952 to Mary and Robert Fagan Sr. He was the eldest of six siblings. Bob went to University of West Florida and graduated with a degree in Marketing. He was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He worked as a sales manager in a variety of industries until his retirement in 2019 but his favorite was working for Fetco where he was able to learn all about the process of roasting and brewing coffee.
Bob was a faithful Catholic and parishioner at Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral in Raleigh. He was a lifelong Yankee fan who never missed watching their games and was rarely seen without wearing his Yankee cap. He loved golfing and art and was always drawing and painting pictures. Above all else, Bob loved spending time being the world’s best Poppy to his two grandchildren who were the light of his life.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Carol (Ulrich) and their three children Tracey (Fagan) Reynolds, Sean and Cody as well as his son-in-law, Ian Reynolds, and two beloved grandchildren Lillian and Bennett. He also leaves behind his brother, Kevin Fagan (Dianne Fagan) of Pennsylvania and four sisters, Maureen Ruppe (Patrick Ruppe Sr.) of Kentucky, Bernadette Miller (Bryan Miller) of Virginia, Patricia Yager of Florida and Sharon David (Stuart David) of South Carolina as well as his lifelong best friend and brother-in-law Richard Ulrich (Barbara Ulrich) of New Jersey and many nieces and nephews.
Bob’s family will be holding a funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church in Raleigh on Wednesday, December 14th at 3:30pm immediately followed by an internment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Clayton, NC. Donations in Bob’s memory can be made to the American Heart Association, a charity that was very dear to his mother’s heart.
