SHALLOTTE – Robert Eugene Hale, age 73, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 15, 2021 in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 US 70 Business Highway West in Clayton, North Carolina.
The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 pm Sunday, August 15, 2021 prior to the service at the funeral home.
He was born September 25, 1947 in Hamlet, North Carolina to the late Claude Hale and the late Agnes Spivey Hale.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Sue Spivey and Arthur and Corina Hale.
Mr. Hale was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was owner of a furniture store in Wilmington. He enjoyed fishing, family and western cowboy movies.
He is survived by his son; Brian Hale (Katherine); grandchildren, Garrett (Ashlynn), Grayson and Gates; brothers, Tommy and Garry; former wife, Dorothy Hale; and many nephews and nieces.
