A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 am Saturday, February 15, 2025 in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton, North Carolina with Pastor Daniel Dockery officiating.
Bob was born on April 4, 1939 in Jacksonville, North Carolina to the late Marvin Little Roddenberry and the late Grace McCraney Roddenberry Martin. In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Roddenberry.
He was a graduate of Murray Vocational High School in Charleston, South Carolina, Class of 1957 and served in the National Guard, as a young man. Bob spent his career as an electrical draftsman, drawing electrical wiring diagrams for industrial plants and military applications around the United States from Florida to Alaska.
He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and UNC Tarheel sports. He was eternally optimistic and fun-loving.
He is survived by his wife Linda; as well as many children, step-children, grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
