Preceded in death by daughter Melissa Thomas, son Jason Thomas, mother & father Barbara and Edward Purdy, maternal and paternal grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and friends.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter Sarah Elliott (Thomas) wife of Christopher Elliott; and daughter Heather Millage (Thomas) wife of Tony Millage. Aside from her loving husband and daughters, the true loves of her life were her six grandchildren; Alexis Elliott, Rylee Elliott, Jeremiah Thomas, Allison Thomas, Thomas Millage and Tanner Millage.
Robin was a follower of Christ Jesus, a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, a devoted wife; a loving, caring, and supportive mother, grammy, and sister; a strong selfless woman who was always lending a hand with a true servant’s heart.
Robin enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, and loved the beach and yet loved to play in the snow too. She was always the biggest fan and supporter of all adventures with her family-including zip lining, off road trail rides, running, flying, and motorcycling cross country.
Prior to becoming a full time homemaker, Robin worked at a nursing home while attending nursing school and was a traveling hairdresser. She also volunteered with the American Red Cross in pediatrics, and frequently donated blood and platelets. Robin was a breast cancer survivor eager to support and participate in benefit causes. Robin will continue on helping and teaching others with Wake Forest School of Medicine (Winston-Salem) through their anatomical body research program.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 24th at Christ Community United Methodist Church at 11am and an open celebration of life will be held immediately following at a family member’s home.
In lieu of flowers and to help countless lives, the family requests that donations be made to Wake Forest
