

Mr. Roland (Ron) Louis Bescher Jr., 88, of Clayton, North Carolina, formerly from Easton, Connecticut, peacefully passed away on June 9, 2022. He was the son of the late Roland Bescher, Sr. and Gertrude Bescher of Floral Park, New York. Ron was born June 28,1933 in Long Island, New York.
Ron was a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he studied Mechanical Engineering. He retired from US Surgical in Norwalk, Connecticut in 1998 as an Engineering Manager where he was an integral part of the team that designed and patented a tool used for Laparoscopic surgery.
During his free time, Ron enjoyed working in the yard, watching and attending hockey games, and rooting for his kids during their swim meets. He also enjoyed playing games and doing puzzles with his family that required strategic thinking. A place that was very special to Ron, was his second home in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, where he loved watching the ocean and eating at the local restaurants.
Ron is survived by his wife of 57 years, Karen Ann Bescher of Clayton, North Carolina, his daughters, Karen Elaine Bescher of Arlington, Virginia, Leslie Craine (Bob) of Lovettsville, Virginia, and Nancy Cramer (Blake) of Davidsonville, Maryland. He is also survived by his sons, Douglas Roland Bescher (Amy) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Adam Bescher of Norwich, Connecticut, and Jonathan Bescher (Kendra) of Clayton, North Carolina. His four grandchildren Madeline Cramer, PhD, Caitlin and Cameron Bescher, and Kaylea Bescher were his pride and joy.
