

Susanne Pearce Biggers Baker was born on October 2, 1925, in Charlotte, NC. She peacefully went to be with the Lord on July 13, 2016, with her family by her side. She was the daughter of Milo Alexander Pearce and Annie Marie Flanagan Pearce. She was preceded in death by her parents and her third son, Jeff Biggers, first husband, Henry Biggers, second husband, James Baker, and sister, Margaret Watson. She is survived by sons Brad Biggers & wife, Meredith, Greg Biggers & wife, Susan, and daughter, Lynn Greene & husband, Bill, her seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three nephews. In Charlotte, Susanne worked in the accounting department of the Southern Bell Company for fifteen years. She lived in Canton, Ohio, for twelve years, working part-time at Glen-Oak High School, before retiring to North Myrtle Beach, SC, where she lived from 1984-2004. She had been living in Clayton, NC, since 2004, to be near her daughter's family. Susanne loved life, and everyone who knew her enjoyed spending time with her. She was a devoted and loving mother, and her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and their families. Her family is thankful to Deborah Phelps and Frances Moore, who were her loving and dedicated caregivers and friends. A celebration of her life will take place at Providence Presbyterian Church, in Charlotte, NC, on Tuesday, July 19, at 2:00 p.m., officiated by the Reverend John Paul Lindsay.
