Thomas LeRoy Roberts was born in Oil City, PA to Ada LaVonne Boyer and John William Roberts on July 21, 1946. He went to school at Oil City Senior High in Oil City, PA. He was married to Deborah Lee Roberts on May, 3, 1971 in Oil City, PA. He graduated from Oil City Business School, Oil City, Pa.
He worked in Aquatic’s Maintenance for City of Raleigh for 14 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the United States Air Force.
Thomas is preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Lee Roberts; sister, Patricia Martin; and parents, John William and Ada LaVonne Boyer Roberts.
Thomas is survived by his daughter, Amy Cathleen Ping and husband, Terry; brothers, William J. Roberts, Dennis J. Roberts, and Larry D. Roberts; grandchildren, Ashley A. Ping, Nathan B. Ping, and Ava Grace Ping.
The family of Thomas Roberts wishes to Thank Moore County Hospital Reid Heart Center and First Health Hospice Care of West End and Faith Community Church for the generous use of their church.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at Faith Community Church, 2225 Aversboro Road, Garner, NC 27529. Visitation will follow the service. There will be no burial. Arrangements are by McLaurin Funeral Home, Clayton, NC.
