

Mr. Thomas Graves Wright, Jr., 52, of Garner died Saturday, December 12, 2015 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield after a very brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 9, 1963 at the US Naval Hospital on Guam, son of Thomas Graves Wright, Sr. and Jane Wright of Hampstead. Mr. Wright worked for First Fleet Trucking at Flowers Bakery in Goldsboro. He was a huge sports fan, especially the University of Virginia. He was very active in Cub Scouts with his son Mason. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 15 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton with Pastor Bill Beyer officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Carrie Wright, a son, Mason Thomas Wright of the home, two sisters, Robinn Neveu and husband Wes of Mobile, AL and Laura White and husband Keith of Carolina Beach, nieces, Sarah Dunnagan and Nicole Hernandez and husband Jeremy, nephew, Troy White, and a great nephew, Josiah Hernandez.
