Vera Futrell Brown

Vera Futrell Brown, 89, formerly of Jacksonville, NC passed away at her residence in Clayton, NC on July 28, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 04, 2021 at Harris Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Jacksonville, NC.

Vera was born on December 05, 1931 to the late James Lloyd Futrell and Minnie Horne Futrell in Onslow County, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, George B. Brown and her son, Greg Brown.

She is survived by her children, Gerald Brown and his wife, Carolyn, Glenn Brown and his wife, Barbara, Michael Brown and his wife, Jeanette, Donna Condry and her husband, Len, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Vera is also survived by her siblings, Doris Faye Jones, Carl Kenneth Futrell, Eleanor Kay Smart, Judy Gail McDonald, and Harold Dean Futrell.
