Hunter Coats, a man of unmatched heart and unwavering love, has gone home to God. Though our earthly hearts ache beyond words, we find comfort knowing he is now held in the arms of our Savior—and embraced by his beloved Gran-Gran and D-dad, who surely welcomed him home with open arms and joyful tears.
Born into this world over ten pounds of pure joy, Hunter came into our lives not quietly, but with the kind of vibrant energy that would define his days. From the very beginning, he was a source of laughter, light, and unconditional love.
He was more than a son—he was his family’s anchor. To his parents, Terry and Bebe Coats, Hunter was a source of pride, laughter, and companionship. To his sister Casey, he was a lifelong and beloved friend—sharing creekside adventures, Myrtle Beach golf cart rides, and quiet afternoons watching movies at their grandparents’ house. To his brother-in-law Milo, he was a brother in every sense. To his niece Addie and nephew Mav, he was the thoughtful uncle who always showed up for special moments and brought joy. His love came through in Hot Wheels, puzzles, birthday visits, and his big heart that filled a room and lingered long after he left it.
Hunter had a rare ability to love others quietly but fiercely. He looked out for his people. He checked in. He gave—often and without need for recognition. His spirit shone brightest in the everyday kindnesses: the way he cared for his family, the way he helped others quietly, and the way he loved his animals like family.
His legacy lives on through Coats Cane Corsos, where his devotion, knowledge, and instinctive matchmaking brought the perfect dogs to the perfect homes. It wasn’t just a business—it was his calling, and he answered it with heart, responsibility, and passion.
Though he has left this earthly world, Hunter’s love remains imprinted on every life he touched. His spirit lives on in the sparkle of fireworks, the rustle of leaves during a quiet walk, the loyal eyes of a dog, and the unmistakable feeling of being loved without condition. We will look for the signs—glances from a knowing rabbit, a sudden burst of light, a moment of warmth when we least expect it. And in those moments, we’ll remember: he is near.
Hunter is loved beyond words and immeasurably missed by his parents, Terry and Bebe Coats; his sister and brother-in-law, Casey and Milo Hardin; his adored niece and nephew, Adelyne Grayce and Mavryck Fisher Hunter Hardin. He is now reunited in eternal joy with his beloved Gran-Gran and D-dad.
Until we see you again on the other side, dear Hunter, we carry you in our hearts. Your light will never dim. Your love will never fade. You are with us forever.
In lieu of flowers, we invite you to make a donation to support mustlovecorsosrescue.org—the loyal and loving dogs that meant so much to Hunter. Your kindness will carry forward the compassion he shared so freely.
