

Hugh W. Stroh Jr. 70, of Cle Elum, passed away peacefully at home on December 6th in the presence of his loving wife Hannelore Stroh. Hugh was born in Seattle in 1943. He attended the University of Washington and graduated with a BA in business administration in 1966. He obtained a Juris Doctoris in law from Gonzaga University in 1970. He was a Captain in the US army where he completed the Judge Advocate Generals School in 1975. Hugh practiced law in Bellevue, WA. and then later moved to Cle Elum in 1993 where he continued his law practice for the last 20 years. Hugh taught Business Law at Central Washington University for 10 years. Hugh loved living in Cle Elum where he could enjoy his true passions of hunting, fishing, motorcycling, snowmobiling, gardening, and just being outdoors. Hugh is survived by his sons: Scott Stroh, Trevor Stroh, Dustin Stroh and Walter Oelschlager. His daughter in law Rebecca Heintz and Grandchildren Ellie Stroh and Charlie Stroh, and many cousins. A celebration of Hugh’s life will be held at a later date.
