Ann S. Gill

Born on December 3, 1933 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Cleo and Catherine (James) Shaffer.

Mrs. Gill had been employed at the former Brody’s and Clearfield Furs.

She was a member of Pine Grove Bethel Church, where she had served as an Elder and a Deacon of the Church.

Mrs. Gill was also a member of NON and the Clearfield-Curwensville Country Club.

She enjoyed skiing, playing golf and reading. Most of all, she enjoyed her family time.

On September 19, 1953, she married Lee H. Gill, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Leanne Peters and her husband Robert and Michael Gill and his wife Joan all of Clearfield; two grandchildren; Andrew Peters and his wife Diana of Lewisburg and Adrianne Peters of Clearfield, two step grandchildren; Rob Billotte and his wife Abby of New Millport and Chad Billotte and his wife Maggie of Clearfield; one sister, Manon Duck and her husband Eugene of Elizabethtown, two nieces, a nephew and many cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of Ann’s life will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Pine Grove Bethel Church with Rev. K. Joy Kaufmann officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Grove Bethel Church Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday from 3:00-5:00PM and 7:00-9:00PM and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Mt. Top Larger Parish Deacon’s Scholarship Fund, 314 W. First Avenue, Clearfield, PA 16830 or to the Pine Grove Bethel Cemetery Association, Twelve Carbon Mine Road, Clearfield, PA 16830.
