My heart goes out to you Greg, and your boys; Mitchell, Zach, Jon, and the rest of the family.  We don't always understand God's plan - but I'm thankful Cathy can now be at peace and I truly believe she is in good hands.  A truly remarkable woman - mother & wife! A friend to all who had the opportunity to know her.  She had such a zest for life! She will be warmly remembered...and dearly missed.

I was so saddend to hear of Cathy's passing.

I considered Cathy to be one of my closest friends in High Scool.

Cathy was always so kind and careing. I will always cherish my many fond memories of her always.

I would like to share how gracious and selfless Cathy was; I recently lost my mother, I came home and found a most endearing sympathy card from her. In true Cathy fashion she was thinking of my family and wanted to reach out and express her condolences, when she herself was going through so much.

I called Cathy and we talked for quite awhile, what an amazing inspirational person she was, we all can learn from her strengh and grace.

My heart is heavy for all of you going through your time of greiving.

Maybe knowing Cathy is pain free now, her beautiful red hair perfectly in place, her nails  polished, beleiving in that, I hope gives you all comfort.

Greg our deepest sympathy to you, your boys and her entire family.  Cathy was a wonderful person who was always upbeat and smiling!  I have such good memories of her in high school and college.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I knew Cathy from high school.  I will always remember her as a very friendly and kind person who had a fantastic personality.  My deepest sympathies to all of her family.

I am at a loss for words.  My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family.  Cathy was my dear friend and comrade in this battle.  Her courage was and always will be an inspiration to me.  I will miss you buddy, but I will see you again!!!!

I met Cathy through her son's 4-H group, Cathy was always so friendly and kind. She had a love for life and she was such a strong individual. She will be truly missed. May God bless and comfort you.

Cathy has held a special place in my heart since I met her.  She invited my husband out to dinner with a group of friends and told him if he was dating anyone to bring her along.....well, that was me.  For a couple of reasons I was nervous about meeting everyone, but not for long. Cathy went out of her way to get to know me and made me feel as though she and I had been friends for years.  I believe she probably made everyone she met feel this way and will be missed by many.   

Our thoughts and prayers are with her entire family.  Greg, Mitch, Zach and Jon...We love you and will always be here for you all.

I worked with Cathy at PSU. Cathy was the kind of person that no matter what kind of a day she was having she greeted you with a smile and asked how you were. She fought a long hard battle, her strength and determination amazed me. I told Cathy one day that I wish I could take her home with me and have some of her determination rub off on my aunt who was also diagnosed with cancer.

She will be greatly missed but I take comfort in knowing that there's a special angel in heaven watching over us.  

Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.

My Deepest Sympathies

Sincere sympathy and condolences to the entire family.

 I remember my little sister growing up, when we were little kids she was moms special little girl. When she was three or four my mom would dress her up and curl her hair. Some times she would put a little white hat and gloves on her with a little white shaw and a purpil dress, of course me and my brother were all spiffed up in our suits, we were on our way to church. My sister learned at an early age not to take any herassment from anybody including her brothers. I remember when I was eight or nine I  (and  my brother) would tie a string to Cathys bedroom door and hide the string under the rug and when we went to bed I would pull the string and slowly pull the door shut while making a booooo noise. She would screeeeem real lould and mom would come up stairs to straighten us out. After that she was wise to my shananagans so I had to resort to fine black thread so she couldnt see it. It worked only once more.
  I remember as kids  riding bicycles and rollerskating on clearfield street, running in to her and we would both fall down, I didnt want her to get hurt because It would always be my fault and I would get in trouble so I would always try to protect her from then on. Once we were at camp down in shawville playing on the bridge  and she fell in(no I didnt push her), I yelled for may grandfather he came out of the camp running full trot dove from the bank swam under the bridge and saved my little sister of possible drowning in three feet of water.Thinking back I would give my grandfather(EARL LINGLE) a 10 for form and degree of dificulty.
  As we grew up me and my sister and brother were close because we fought alot(thats how you know). I remember Cathy in school when I was in sixth grade she was two years behind me and we  would wave to each other in the halls and the same when I was in ninth grade and twelth grade, I always felt like her protector and would make shure she was ok.
  I remember when she was going to PENN STATE ,DUBOIS she hit a deer on top of the mountain on here way home and I felt releived she made it home safely.
  When she met Greg and was going to get married I felt he would make here a fine husband.
  I remember when she had Mitchell here first born she called me at work to let me know and I remember thinking my little sister is a woman now and she is starting here own family I felt so proud of her. And the same when she had Zack and John. I never worried about her because she was strong. Then she had here first bout of cancer but some how I felt she would pull through it... and she did.
  Cathy was the picture taker, party organizer, call ya on the phone to see how ya were dooing kinda person, who always new what was going on with everybody and If I forgot sombodys name I would call here and she would know , where they lived and who they were married to.
  Then came here second bout with cancer I (we) were very worried about here but we watched here beat it and get healthy and back to doing here thing, baking and baking and baking and baking chocklate chip cookies, and everything else.(YUMMY).
  The boys grew up and we got older and we thought time might be her friend but It wasn't to be, and in christmas of 08 she came down with the cough that wouldnt go away we (the rest of our family) were hopeing and praying that IT wasnt but IT was  cancer again. The past two years was hell for her and us she put up one hell of a fight.........but GOD took her from us wed sept 1.
  It hurts so bad............. my little sister is gone I will miss here every day of my life. I hope to see here after the resurection along with the rest of my family.   ): ): ):

My heart felt sympathy to Greg & the boys and the entire family.  Any time I ran in to Cathy she always had a smile on her face and always stopped to talk and catch up.  She will be greatly missed.  Hugs to you all.  You will be in my thoughts & prayers.
