Colleen Rae Cowder

Mrs. Cowder was born March 21, 1952 in Clearfield, the daughter of Homer R. and Gertrude (Marien) Dillen.

She was owner and operator of Colleen Cowder’s Beauty Salon.

Mrs. Cowder was a member of the Dale United Methodist Church.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, enjoyed craftwork and was an Elvis fanatic.

Colleen is survived by her mother of Clearfield, her husband, Seth G. Cowder whom she married February 2, 1973, four children; Jeannette M. Cowder of Clearfield, Richard R. Cowder of Woodland, Beth A. Shaw and her husband Joshua of Curwensville and Jenna L. Cowder of Woodland, seven grandchildren; Patrick, Hope, Angel, Kaylee, Jimmy, Grace and Parker, a sister, Carol Stroup and her husband Corky of Florida, and a niece, two nephews and their families.

Mrs. Cowder was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield with Rev. Michael Knepp officiating.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 PM the hour of the service.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Dale United Methodist Church.
