Mr. Donald A. Reed

Mr. Reed was born on August 1, 1947 in Clearfield, PA, the son of Betty (Adams) Reed of Mount Jackson, VA and the late William D. Reed, Sr.

He was a veteran and had served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era.

Mr. Reed was the owner and operator of Reed Brothers Tool and Equipment Rental in Clearfield and DuBois.

He was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church of Clearfield where he was a former Elder, and board member of the Clearfield Alliance Christian School.

He is survived by his wife Shelia A. (Peters) Reed whom he married on July 25, 1969, a daughter, Heather Lynn Haney and her husband Matt of Philipsburg, two grandchildren, Ian Haney and Mackenzie Welker; two sisters, Linda Reed of Mount Jackson, VA and Vonda Caldwell of Warren, OH, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his father, a son Donald Allen Reed, Jr. who passed August 23, 1978, and two brothers; Albert Reed and William D. Reed, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 11, 2010 at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church with Dr. Duane White officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde. Military Honors will be accorded at the Cemetery by the Clearfield American Legion Post #6 and the VFW Post #1785 Honor Guard.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8PM and on Monday, October 11th at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the services.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield Foundation of Heath- Hospice, P.O. Box 992, Clearfield, PA 16830, or the Nathaniel D. Yingling MD Cancer Center, 815 Doctor’s Drive, Clearfield, PA 16830.
