Doreen D Dixon

She was born on September 7, 1939 in Clearfield. Doreen was the daughter of William & Ethel (Turner) McLaughlin.

Doreen married James P. Dixon on December 17, 1954.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved the lord and her family. She was involved with the church for many years as a Communion Stewart, assisting with benefit dinners and the soup kitchen. She particularly enjoyed decorating the sanctuary of the church.

She is survived by three of her four children, Michael Dixon, Karen Neeper (Brad), and Nancy Albright (Greg); seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and by her brother, Fred McLaughlin (Edna).

Doreen is preceded in death by her husband (2008), her first born son, Steven Dixon (2009), four sisters, Millie Spingola, Shirley McLaughlin, Mary Haney, Anna Mae Dixon, and one brother, Richard McLaughlin.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 22 at 4 p.m. at Bennett & Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield with Pastor Nick McBride officiating.

Visitation will be held in the funeral home beginning at 1 p.m. until the time of services.

Memorial contributions in Doreen’s name may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
