

Born on June 22, 1934 in Philipsburg, PA; a daughter of the late James A. Bock and Jessie B. (Knepp) Bock Eason.
Surviving are her children: Thomas D. Turner and his wife Kimberly of Morrisdale, Terry D. Turner and his wife Teresa of Clearfield, Pamela (Turner) Carlson and her husband Daniel of Morrisdale, and Penny (Turner-Gerst) Jones and her husband Larry of Morrisdale; grandchildren: Daniel and Sara Carlson of State College, Thomas and Christen Turner of Fayetteville, NC, Anthony and Jessica (Gerst) Lash of Grampian, Courtney Turner of Morrisdale, Alden and Whitney (Gerst) Bass-Gainey of Pine Grove Mills, PA, Aron and Alyssa (Turner) Agerton of Sunbury, PA; and nine great-grandchildren: Finn, Keira, Everett, Mason, Bennet, Wesley, McKayla, Zoe, and Reed.
Additionally, she is survived by her two brothers: Walter Bock and his wife Claudia of Philipsburg, and James Bock and his wife Patricia of Morrisdale; one sister, Kathy (Eason) Purnell and her husband Calvin of Morrisdale.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane W. Turner; her parents; step-father, Olis “Pinky” Eason; a brother, Charles W. Bock ; step-sister, Juanita Kyler; three grandchildren: Robbie Carlson, Krista Carlson, and Charles J. Gerst; and one great-granddaughter, Sophia Turner.
Dorothy had a wonderful zeal for life. She was most happy when her home was opened to family and friends. She was a wonderful cook and was always willing to share a meal. She worked for many years at Hamer’s Restaurant. However, one of her greatest accomplishments in life was being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She taught her family how to love and laugh. She loved to crochet and was a crossword puzzle master.
She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness.
A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Dorothy’s life at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home, Inc., on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 11:00 am with Speaker Alfred Sievers officiating.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at from 10am until the time of services.
