

Mrs. Bowman was born on December 22, 1919 in Boggs Township, the daughter of Ord and Mary (Butler) Dixon.
She was a member of the Kerr Addition United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and had served for many years on the Board and Trustee, bible school helper and help serve many church dinners. She was also a member of the Clearfield County Agency on Aging Auxiliary.
Mrs. Bowman retired from the Clearfield Hospital in 1982 as a dietary worker.
She is survived by four children; Sherman Bowman and his wife Pat, of Olanta, Philip Bowman and his wife, Elaine, of Clearfield, Phyllis Hirsch and her husband, William, of Clearfield and Elaine Bowman and her companion, Larry Welker of Clearfield, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bowman was the last member of her generation having been preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Warren J. Bowman whom she married January 29, 1940 and who passed away on November 9, 1989, two sons; Andrew and John Bowman, an infant daughter, Priscilla Bowman, two granddaughters; Jodi L. Bowman and Rebecca J. Bowman, four brothers; Donald, Wilbur, John and Luther Dixon and a sister, Arlene Lumadue.
Honoring Mrs. Bowman’s wishes there will be no public viewing.
Funeral Services will be held for family and friends at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Mark Brower officiating. Interment will be in the Thompson Cemetery, Glen Richey.
