Ernest E. Lingle

He was born on August 22, 1925 in Clearfield, PA; a son of the late Donald and Lena (Fister) Lingle.

Mr. Lingle served as a Merchant Marine in the U.S. Navy, and worked as a corporate manager until his retirement.

He was a member of the Rotary Club of Clearfield, member of B.P.O.E. Lodge 314 for over 66 years, a member of the American Legion John Lewis Shade Post 6, and member of the Congressional Country Club in Washington.

Mr. Lingle is survived by his three children: Stephen E. Lingle and his wife Patricia of Warrington, PA, Lynn B. Woychik and her husband David of Rockville, VA, and Pameil M. Lingle of Virginia Beach, VA; five grandchildren: Stephen D. Lingle, Kristin P. Aldridge, Jason Lingle, David John Woychik, and Caitlyn Woychik; three great-grandchildren: Patrick C. Lingle, Autumn R. Lingle, and Caden Aldridge; siblings: Wilbur Lingle of Whiting NJ, Kenneth Lingle of Peoria, IL, and Marvin W. Lingle of Clearfield, PA; former spouse, Eleanor M. Lingle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: Thomas Lingle, Darrell Lingle, and Shirley O’Dell.

Funeral services will be private due to COVID-19 restrictions. Interment be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
