Gloria Mitchell

She was born on August 29, 1937 in Clearfield, the daughter of John J. and Annie R. (Brown) Mitchell.

Gloria was a 1955 graduate of Clearfield High School. She worked many years at Ziffs Tots to Teens in Clearfield. After relocating to Florida, she was employed at Universal Studios in Orlando until she retired.

She loved animals and rescued many cats and dogs in her lifetime. She was a lifelong member of Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Clearfield.

Gloria is survived by three children, Kimberly (Mitchell) O’Link of Clearfield, Frank J. Mitchell of Orlanda, FL, and John E. Mitchell of Clearfield; four grandchildren, Ryan O’Link, Matthew O’Link, Joshua O’Link, and Andrew O’Link; five great grandchildren, Gabrielle O’Link, Xavier O’Link, Blake O’Link, Xander O’Link, and Eliza O’Link. She is also survived by a sister, Margaret (Mitchell) Rupe of Florida.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Blaine Mitchell, John Mitchell, Ann (Mitchell) Wisor, Esther (Mitchell) Parks, Norma (Mitchell) Clark, Lois (Mitchell) Laudermilk, Elma Jean (Mitchell) Houser, William Mitchell, and Thomas Mitchell.

Honoring her wishes, there will be no public services observed. A memorial service will be observed at a later date, at the discretion of the family.
