John V Jacobson

Mr. Jacobson was born September 20, 1952 in Clearfield, the son of Hjalmer V. and Mary V. (Triponey) Jacobson.

He had worked for Zacherl Motors for 20 years as well as Piper.

Mr. Jacobson was a member of the Glen Richey Primitive Methodist Church.

He was a life member of the Glen Richey Fireman’s Association and the Little Clearfield Creek Watershed Association and was an avid fisherman.

Mr. Jacobson is survived by two daughters; Jessica Stewart and her husband Michael of Strasburg, VA and Laura Brewer and her husband Mike of Warrenton, VA., two sisters; Rita A. Jacobson and Lois J. Mitchell and her husband Richard, a brother, George L. “Sam” Jacobson and his wife Suzann, all of Glen Richey and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ronald H. Jacobson, a sister, Mary Joan Smith, two nephews; Aaron and

Ryan Jacobson and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ross and Kathleen Spackman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., of Clearfield with Lay Pastor Leanne Peters and Rev. Duane W. Stiner co-officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of services.
