Mona Jean Wise

Born April 23, 1929 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of the late Fay C. Graham and Erma L. (Hoover) Graham. A life-long resident of Clearfield, she was the manager of the AAA office in Clearfield for nearly 32 years.

Mona Jean married Charles Fontenoy in 1950 and he predeceased her along with her parents, her brothers Cortez V. Graham and Howard A. Graham.

She married Glen E. Wise September 23, 2005 and they enjoyed their years together. Mona Jean is survived by her husband Glen, step-children Dennis L. Wise of Leesburg, VA, Lynn Wise Oliver of Rowayton, CT, and Gregg A. Wise of Pittsburgh, PA, and their families.

Friends will be received at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Clearfield, Friday January 22nd from 6 to 8 pm, and again Saturday January 23rd from 10 to 11 am. A funeral service will follow at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor George Solley officiating.

The family suggests contributions in Mona Jean’s memory be made to the Clearfield Hospital Hospice, 438 West Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830; the Clearfield County Historical Society, 511 Van Valzah Ave, Clearfield, PA 16830; or Clearfield Arts Studio Theater, PO Box 613, Clearfield, PA 16830.
