Mrs. Swope was born June 13, 1946 in DuBois, the daughter of Melvin E. and Helen (Dunn) Burkett.
She was a graduate of the DuBois High School and Jefferson Tech.
Mrs. Swope was a Homemaker and had worked as an LPN for DuBois Hospital and Clear Care.
She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of DuBois.
Mrs. Swope was also a member of NAPNES and enjoyed reading and music.
Peggy is survived by her sister, Susan J. Bowser and her husband Ken of Punxsutawney and a number of nieces and nephews including Kathryn and Dallas Bowser.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ralph S. Swope whom she married September 29, 1973.
Honoring Mrs. Swope’s wishes there will be no public visitation or services. Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
