She has a grand homecoming with her loved ones and friends as Paul would say “Christ in you the hope of glory.” The outlook is gloomy, but the up look is ever glorious.
Ruth has traveled full time with her sisters as the “Johnson Sisters”. They traveled through many of the states playing bells and glasses and singing the Gospel songs throughout the United States, Canada and the Islands. They won the hearts of Christians whenever they sang and played. Ruth’s radiance and smiling face glowed for her Savior.
She was born June 9, 1924 in Clearfield, the daughter of Helmer and Olga (Ogren) Johnson.
Ruth was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church of Clearfield.
She is survived by two sisters; Dorothy Johnson of Clearfield and Emma Hunsberger and her husband, Rev. Claude Hunsberger of DuBois and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David R. Miller, Sr. whom she married May 11, 1972 and who passed away on April 22, 1992, two sisters; Elsie Johnson and Mildred M. Eckley and four brothers; Harry, Victor, Raymond and Gilbert Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 56 Alliance Road, Clearfield with Dr. Duane A. White officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
