A wonderful life of 97 years. Our dad, Tony, Nonno and grand Nonno, is survived by his son, John Parachini and daughter, Claire Walker, husband Mitch, granddaughter Kelly, her husband TJ and great grandchildren Izzie and Chase, by grandson Mitchell and granddaughter Kyla. First grandson and namesake Tony Parachini, his wife Mary and great granddaughter Morgan. 97 years of a life filled with family and service. A simple life created by family businesses, Sunday dinners with family from home and Italy, raising three children with his wife, Claire, he describes as his love at first sight. Dad often talked about coming home from WWII, after serving in the Army as an interpreter in Italy to work in the family winery and liquor store to find and marry Claire Shaw. They, together, led a simple life of homes impeccably maintained by dad’s landscaping skills and an undeniable Mr Fix It personality. Family vacations at Lake George and Cape Cod , after packing us all up in the station wagon and drive all night so we would sleep to arrive in the morning hours and begin our day; some Saturdays bringing his three kids to Yankee stadium for double headers!! You can only imagine, we had to be there for batting practice! Our parents hosted the most amazing parties for their friends and family; whether elegant dinner or barbecue pool parties. We were raised with a sense of family and fun and so lucky to have our father and Nonno with us in heart and mind right until he passed peacefully in the night. He left behind a family who loves him and loved by him. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.sylvanabbey.com for the Parachini family.
