

Benton B Warren, age 87, of Clearwater, Florida passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021. Benton was born August 25, 1933.
Ben was born in Alexandria Alabama, he was one of seven children. He proudly served his country
in the Navy as a radio man aboard a P2V during the Korean war. Later he attended Georgia Tech
and became an electrical engineer, he designed the guidance system for the minuteman missile.
He married Maebelle Smith and they raised two daughters; Teresa Anne Krell and Peggy Tatem.
He was also survived by three grandchildren; Donald Chadwick Krell and Kim Krell Graddick and
Cheryl Tatem Tucker. As well as six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Later in life Ben served as a Gideon and found great satisfaction in their prison ministry. Donations
to the Gideons will be accepted in Lieu of Flowers (checks can be made to Gideons and sent to P.O. Box 1874, Palm Harbor, FL 34682). Ben will be sorely missed by his family and many
friends.
There will be a visitation held at 12:00 pm for Benton on Sunday, August 15 at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home (2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL) with a funeral service starting at 1:00 pm officiated by Pastor David Rice. A graveside service with military honors will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
