Betty Inez L. Lee

Betty Inez Louessa “Betty” Lee, 85, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2020.

Betty was born August 29, 1934, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Frank Marion Boren and Elizabeth Milbre McClure. She lived in Williamson and Jacksonville City, Illinois as a child, later moving to Chicago, Illinois. She was predeceased by her three brothers and one sister—Frank Jr. (Alpha), Lawrence (Lorraine), Thomas (Josephine), and Eleanor (John Medo).

On November 3, 1951, she married Richard G. “Dick” Lee, Sr. Betty was an active member of Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, the Red Hats and several fraternal organizations. She retired in 1992, moved with Dick to Clearwater and enjoyed time with her children, grandchildren, and friends. Dick passed away on April 4, 2017.

Betty and Dick had eight children and is survived by them: Richard G. Lee, Jr. of Clearwater, FL; William Michael Lee and his wife, Kyle of Morattico, VA; Judy Ann Love and her husband, Terry of Clearwater, FL; Ronald Dennis Lee of Gainesville, VA; James Patrick Lee of Haddon Heights, NJ; John Joseph Lee and his wife, Corbin of Ashburn, VA; Robert Edward Lee and his wife, Debra of Charlotte, NC; and Daniel Thomas Lee and his wife, Christene of Naples, FL. Betty is also survived by 18 grandchildren and their nine spouses and 16 great-grandchildren and one spouse.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 13, at Light of Christ Catholic Church in Clearwater, Florida. Due to the current epidemic and distancing mandates, visitation before the funeral mass will not be held. The funeral mass will be live-streamed by the Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held in the future when the current health concerns are reduced.
