Born on February 23, 1935, in Newark, New Jersey, Beverly was the daughter of Joseph and Rose Feinsot and grew up alongside her beloved twin brother, Merwin. She went on to graduate from Weequahic High School. Bev met the love of her life, Harry Vargas, at a dance hall. This fateful meeting led to a beautiful marriage that spanned 60 wonderful years and blessed them with a son, Jeffrey Vargas.
Beverly was a natural caretaker, known for her kindness, warmth, and steady strength. She dedicated her working career to the New Jersey Carpenter’s Union. In 1998, after retiring, she and her family relocated to Florida to enjoy a well-earned retirement filled with sunshine and adventure. Beverly was an avid traveler who especially enjoyed visiting destinations such as Las Vegas and Greece, and she had a love for cruising the world. However, above all, she treasured quality time with her family and friends —creating memories that will last a lifetime. Beverly and her family were enthusiastic JETS fans, and this passion for the team always brought them together for special family time.
Beverly was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry Vargas, her parents, Joseph and Rose Feinsot, and her twin brother, Merwin Feinsot. She is survived by her devoted son, Jeffrey Vargas; nieces, Jodi Gordon, and Cindi LePine; Donna Vargas and Lisa Vargas; and nephew David Vargas, as well as many extended family members both in Greece and beyond, and countless friends who will miss her dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your favorite charity in Beverly’s memory. A graveside service will be announced soon.
Beverly’s life was one of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family—her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
