Carol Ann Ondrula

Carol built a distinguished career in television, serving as a program director at WFLA in Tampa, Florida, and later at an independent station in Springfield, Illinois. After her retirement, Carol served as a Reader and Eucharistic Minister at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Tampa. Her dedication to her family and her faith were the cornerstones of her well-lived life.

Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Joseph E. Ondrula; her parents, Paul and Colletta Hoover; her husband’s parents, Paul and Anna Ondrula; her brothers, Ken (Elsie) Hoover and Ron (Jean) Hoover, her brother-in-law Andy Gabor, sister-in-law Mary Gabor, brother-in-law, Rudy P. Ondrula, sister-in-law, Mary-Jane Ondrula, brother-in-law, John Kopchik, and sister-in-law, Susan Kopchik.

Carol is survived by her sons, David (Joy) and Chris (Lisa); her granddaughter, Reily; her grandsons, Derek (Dakota), David (Jackie), Ryan, and Brady; and her great-grandson, Blake. She cherished her family above all else and took immense pride in her sons’ accomplishments, often referring to them only as “the doctor” and “the lawyer.”

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, with services to be held on December 7, 2025, in Tampa, Florida.
