Carol Anne (Danford) Ryder, 83 received her angel wings on Thursday, May 12th after a long battle with cancer. Carol was born on March 7, 1933 in Muskegon, MI. She was married to William G. Ryder on April 24, 1948 and had nine children. Vonnette 67, Bill 65 (Jan), Dennis 64 (Mary Jane), Lynn 61, Terri 60 (Jim), Michele 58, Julie 57 (Roy), Lori 53, and Anne 50. Carol belonged to Light of Christ Catholic Church and in 2011 became a member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites. Her interests included, cooking, crocheting and counted cross stitch, loved doing jigsaw puzzles, and most importantly loved spending time with her family. While still raising her family she went back to school and received a B.S. degree in Psychology @ Michigan State University. She is survived by all nine children, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and her sister, Doris Chartrand, 95 of Muskegon, Michigan. Preceded in death are her mother and father, Zita M (Duisen) Danford and Paul Ralph Danford, and sister Jean Myers, one grandson, and one great grandson. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Suncoast Hospice Care Center of Clearwater.
