Charles “Charlie” E. Mortensen, passed away peacefully Thursday evening June 3, 2021. He resided for the past 2 years in Wickshire Senior Living in Safety Harbor, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Toby, and his 5 children, Chip and wife Barbara, Carl and wife Jenny, Arlene and husband Kevin, Janet and husband Alan and Robin and husband Mark. He also is survived by 7 grandchildren, Daniel Mortensen, Jennifer McAbee, Kaitlin Greener, Ryan Greener, Eva Caisse, Jackie Swick, and Billy Gomez along with 5 Great Grandchildren, Makayla, Luke, Caden, Reece, and Rhoan.
Charlie lived in New Jersey for 53 years before moving to Safety Harbor, Florida where he and Toby spent the last 40 years. Charlie was an engineer and was part owner of Dynaco Automation during the 70’s and 80’s and Scandia Technologies in later years. Charlie could often be found walking with his wife Toby in Philippe Park. He was a model airplane enthusiast, musician and an avid dog-lover. Charlie proudly served in the armed forces. Charlie was very much loved by his family and all that were fortunate enough to know him. He will be sadly missed.
