Cheryl Alice Burton

Cheryl Alice Burton, age 77, of Auburndale, Florida went to be with the Lord Jesus on Monday, March 28, 2022. Cheryl was born April 30, 1944 in Miami, FL to Dr. O.E. and Martha Burton. Both precede her in death along with her sister; Susan Burton.

She is survived by her three brothers; Buddy (Janet) Burton, Doug (Rhonda) Burton, and Tom (Joanne) Burton.

She was Aunt Cheryl to 5 nephews and 3 nieces but was GiGi to her great nephews and nieces.

Cheryl graduated from Clearwater High School and attended Campbell College in North Carolina. She started her career with Dr. Jean Bennett at Clearwater Pediatrics in 1965 and finished her career with Dr. Greg H. Savel at Myrtle Ave. Pediatrics after 50 years of service.

She spent many years as a choir director and organist in various churches in the Clearwater area. She was a highly gifted singer and musician. Cheryl will be greatly missed by her family and the many people she influenced and inspired in our community.

A funeral service for Cheryl will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at North Dunedin Baptist Church, 1595 Michigan Blvd, Dunedin, FL 34698. A graveside service will occur Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Rd, CLEARWATER, FL 33759. A visitation will occur Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 1595 Michigan Blvd, Dunedin, FL 34698.
