

Ivins, Constance “Connie” H., 58, of Pinellas Park, made her peaceful transition to a new adventure of love, light and laughter on July 13, 2016 while surrounded by her loving family. She was from Laurel Springs, NJ and conquered her developmental disabilities and severe epilepsy with courage, grace, humor, and patience. She was sent by God to show us the way to love all living things and to cope with any of life’s challenges. We want to thank all of Connie’s supporters, caregivers, friends and relatives who cared for and loved her. Connie was a member of AFIRE (serving persons with developmental disabilities), Advocare Trust, and Family Care Council. She went to Tallahassee to advocate for persons with disabilities. Connie is preceded in death by her parents Jess and Arlene Ivins. She is survived by her sisters, Nancy (Ted) Simmons, Laura (John) Nugent (Edson Tillotson); brothers, Jim (Sylvia) Ivins, Jay (Linda) Ivins, Lonnie (Betty) Ivins, Steve (Patti) Ivins; nieces, Jacqui (Nick) Tillotson, Bethann Simmons, Adrienne Tillotson, Zaughn (Joe) Kelly, Zarah (Frankie) Ivins, Shelly (Mike) Kelly, Lonna Ivins, Jenny (Vince) Carbone, Jessica Ivins, LeeAnn (Bill) Farrell, and Samantha Ivins; nephews, Michael Ivins (Patty), Greg Simmons and Mike (Joey) Helvitson; aunts, Bette McSparran, Dolly Badiali; uncle, Albert (Betty) Ivins; and multiple cousins, grandnephews and grandnieces. A visitation will be held at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home in Clearwater on Tuesday, July 19 from 10-11am with a service to follow at 11am.
