We celebrate the life of Daniel Raymond Johnson, an adoring husband of 46 years to Paula, son of Raymond and the late Joan, father of Carl and Hunter, grandfather of Alma, brother to Robin, Heidi and the late David, and Dogfather of seven dobermans. Dan was not only the life of every party, but a loyal friend who was cherished by so many around the globe. Dan bravely fought 40+ brutal Wisconsin winters and wrestled countless snowblowers before declaring triumphant victory and making his escape to sunny Safety Harbor, FL. A creative writer, a car enthusiast, a Tuba player, a New Orleans regular, a lifelong blood donor (over 10 gallons), a generous volunteer and a fighter for human rights and dignity, Dan charged through life boldly and truly enjoyed every moment. If you were fortunate enough to have known him, then he undoubtedly made you smile and feel welcome. Dan would not want sadness, but rather laughter, so we invite you to play some New Orleans style Jazz and cheers in Dan’s honor.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be held in his hometown of Milwaukee, WI this summer, and the family welcomes any donations to your local Doberman Rescue in honor of Dan.
