Daniel Kaster, age 92, of Clearwater, FL passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. He was born on January, 15, 1931. He is survived by his daughter; Effie (Ricky) Myrick, and nephews; Gregg and Larry Kaster, and niece; Dina Kaster.
Dan loved witnessing to people. A good way to describe him is to picture a combination of Billy Graham and Herman Munster (a big joyful huggy guy)!
Dan was raised in Chicago. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked with his father as a barber in Chicago for 30 years.
He retired as a printer for Allstate. He was a dedicated husband and Dad. In retirement he volunteered at Helping Hands for many years where he committed himself to ministering to others and distributing the donated bread! Dan was active in the Church choir for many years. We will miss his contagious smile, wonderful sense of humor and bear hugs.
There will be a visitation held for Daniel at 10 am on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, with a funeral service starting at 11 am. Graveside will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
