

After a courageous ten-month battle with brain cancer, David T. Bacon passed away on March 26, 2024 in Florida. David was born on September 12, 1963 in Rochester, New York to Donald Bacon and Elvira DeBiase Bacon. He is pre-deceased by his grandparents, Dorothy and Karlos Bacon, and Amelia and Salvatore DeBiase, and his father, Donald K. Bacon. He is survived by his mother, Elvira (Vera) Bacon, his beloved wife of 37 years and best friend, MaryJane Bacon, his son, Daniel (Brooke) Bacon, and grandchildren, Vivian, Beau, and Grant Bacon, all of Florida. Also surviving are his brother, Steven (Deborah) Bacon of Livonia NY, and sister Coreen (Jeffrey) Stark of Troutman, NC, sister-in-law, Nancy Beane of Florida, and brothers-in-law, Tom (Lonnie) and Jim Beane, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins of Rochester, NY. Not to be left out was his beloved dog, Bailey.
David was born and raised in Rochester, New York, and relocated to Florida more than 30 years ago. He was an avid athlete enjoying competitive sports. Fitness was a huge part of David's life and visiting the gym regularly was very important to him. After being a competitive swimmer in his early years, he found the thrill of competition in triathlons thereby accumulating a large number of medals. His latest enjoyment was bicycling, riding more than a thousand miles a year. In addition to his competitive sports, he also excelled at Taekwondo. David was a Mai Thai member and for 15 years he judged the amateur events for the ISKA. David was also a Corvette enthusiast and enjoyed boating and traveling in his free time as well.

A celebration of life will be at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church on 4/27 at 1:00 pm and will be live streamed.
