Don was born on December 21, 1930, in Auburn, Illinois, the youngest of 4 sons born to Carl Clayton and Donna May Crum. Don lived a long and meaningful life marked by devotion to his family, friends, career, and most importantly and an unwavering love of Jesus Christ.
Don was a Navy Veteran, a retired Railroad Executive, and an avid golfer, but the role he delighted in the most was the privilege of serving the Lord as an Elder, teacher, mentor and friend at Harborside Christian Church over the course of 33 years.
Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Priscilla Lois (Cornett) Crum, and two grandsons, James Michael Brown and William Shelby Crum.
Don is lovingly survived by his three children and their spouses, Mark Crum (Robin), Debbie Brown-Webb (Bryant), and Timothy Crum (Kimberly); his five grandchildren: Chelsea Larrimer (Alex), Michael Brown (Stephanie), Andrew Crum, Alexander Crum, and Lauren Crum; and his legacy continues through four great-grandchildren, Avery Brown, Natalie Larrimer, James Larrimer, and Rowan Brown.
Don will be lovingly remembered by the Cornett Family, Webb Family, Brown Family, and countless friends.
Don’s life was a testament of love, compassion, and understanding to all that knew him. He will be greatly missed, but we rejoice that he has reached his Highest Calling, and Heavenly Reward.
