Donald Blaine McIntire

September 29, 1934 - October 8, 2023

Donald Blaine McIntire, age 89, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023. The son of Lawrence and Minnie (Wagner), Donald was born in Apollo, PA, and married to his “honey” Virginia Mary (Kocur) for nearly 65 years, prior to her death in October 2018. An industrial electrician employed by U.S. Steel and Tampa Electric, Don served in the United States Army for two years, and is survived by his two children, Tim and Susan (Moratti), who already miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his sisters Berna Mae, Lois, Glenna, and brother Leland Dennis, as well as his son-in-law Dominick Moratti. Survivors include his sister Sandra, two grandsons, a great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews. A member of the American Legion and Knights of Columbus, Don loved God, his country, family, and his many friends in Oklahoma Borough, PA; Levittown, PA; and Clearwater, Florida, his main residences over the years.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24th at Light of Christ Catholic Church, 2176 Marilyn Street, Clearwater, Florida 33765. The family will receive guests thirty minutes prior to the mass. A committal service will be held at 1pm at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park 2853 Sunset Point Road Clearwater, Florida 33759.
