Dortha "Dolly" Harriett Wiley

Born on November 15, 1934, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, Dolly was the cherished daughter of Harry and Dorothy Beilby. A proud graduate of McKees Rocks High School, Dolly lived a life marked by love, family, and generosity.

In 1949, she met the love of her life, Richard L. Wiley, on a church hayride—it was love at first sight. They married on September 19, 1951, and built a life together filled with devotion, adventure, and unwavering companionship. Over the years, they raised three sons: Richard Jr., Doug, and Robert.

Dolly’s life was full of movement, as the family followed Richard’s career across Illinois, Indiana, and back to Pennsylvania, before settling in sunny Florida after his retirement. Dolly was a natural caretaker, known for her warm heart and open home. Her greatest joy was found in caring for and spending time with her grandchildren—Sienna, Sage, and Benjamin—and later, her great-grandchild, Brooklyn.

She had a knack for creating lasting memories: making snacks for loved ones, hosting game nights with bridge and cards, or simply offering a listening ear at her welcoming kitchen table. Family trips to lakes in Pennsylvania and Canada were frequent and filled with laughter. Every Friday night, without fail, Dolly and Richard went out dancing—a treasured tradition.

Dolly will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 75 years, Richard Wiley, Sr.; her sons Doug Wiley and Robert Wiley (Amy); her grandchildren Ben Wiley (Jackie), Sage Wiley, and Sienna Wiley (Brennan); and her great-granddaughter Brooklyn.

She is preceded in death by her son, Richard L. Wiley, Jr., and her daughter-in-law, Angele Davies.

Dolly leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and love. She will forever be in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.

A gathering of family and friends for Dolly will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 SUNSET POINT RD, CLEARWATER, FL 33759, followed by a funeral service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
