Edwin O'Connor

Edwin O’Connor, beloved husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and educator, passed away on January 4, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on February 15, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York, Edwin lived a live defined by dedication to family, service to his country, and commitment to education.

Edwin proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, an experience that shaped his strong sense of discipline, responsibility, and character throughout his life. Following his military service, Edwin dedicated his career to education. He took pride in his work and in sharing his knowledge and skills with his students.

He was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather whose life was centered around his family. His greatest joy was the life he built with his wife, Annemarie, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. Together, they raised their family, created a home filled with warmth and laughter, and made countless memories through their love of travel. Edwin enjoyed playing senior softball, watching sports, and spending time with his family. He remained active well into his later years.

He is survived by his children: Tracy O’Connor, Christine Elder, and Keri Alden; his sons in law, Wesley Alden, and Michael Elder; and his grandchildren, Kyra Mucci, Wesley Alden, and Kelsey Alden.

Edwin will be remembered for his service, work ethic, and unwavering devotion to his family.
