Jean was born August 20, 1939 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Edwin Hartz of Tallahassee.
She graduated from Florida State University in 1961 with a degree in Home Economics. Jean was a cheerleader and performer with the Florida State Flying high circus at FSU. Jean loved to travel, spend time with her family, sew, paint and more recently, she was heavily involved in her genealogy research. Jean will be remembered by her beautiful smile and will be greatly missed by those who love and knew her.
Jean is survived by her daughter Cheryl Padgett, son in-law Adrian Padgett, three grandsons Michael, Brian and Brett Padgett, two great grandsons Collins and Brooks Padgett, Son Gregory Beamer and four granddaughters Rebecca, Emily, Annabelle and Miranda Beamer.
A memorial service will be held on March 15 at 1:00 PM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park & Funeral Home at 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759.
Her final resting place will be at Culley's Meadow Wood Cemetery, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312.
