Emerson was such a great person, she was one of the nicest people I’ve ever known  and she will be forever remembered for all of the joy she brought. 🙏🏽❤️🕊️

The countless family gatherings for birthdays will be missed. Not the same without you Emersen.

Even on a day I had to go to do security check on our building at work during holidays they all wanted to go! It started as a tradition with Emersen and Chaisen. They were so excited to go because we made it fun. On this day their smiles speak for themselves!

It was ALWAYS about family with her. I loved how all my kids loved each other.

She loved helping others! In this picture she  volunteered to assist autistic kids of all ages go paddle boarding. She was so proud of herself as was I and the rest of the family. This picture also reminds me of her strength to do anything in life.

I want you all to know that Emerson was the sweetest, kindest, loving and caring person I have ever known.  She was the light that shined in my life and she still is. I would do anything to get her back and I know that you all would do the same. She was a sister to me and she always had a bright glow following her. She was always there for me and I wish I could have been there for her when she was in the hospital. Every where I go I see her and every time I hear her name or see her picture I cry.  She was my everything, she was my best friend, someone I can trust and talk to about anything. She helped me go through the hard times and when I was depressed she was right there with me telling me how good I am and making me feel like I am more than just a person. I miss her so much and I wish you all the best and I believe that you all will make it through all this together.

Chelsey,  It is with a very heavy heart that I’m writing this message to you and your family.  MJ and I are so sorry to hear of your loss.  We never meet Emersen in person but from the stories and information George passed to us over the years she sounded like a wonder person.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you during these difficult times.  

"That girl's got moxie and I like it". Those are the words I said to my classroom neighbor the first time I met Emi at Oak Grove Middle School. Emi possessed the confidence, strong will, and pure heart that a lot of people still struggle to get a handle on.  I have deeply admired her spirit - energy - moxie - confidence...I could go on, ever since that day in the hallway at Oak Grove. 

Emersen also fiercely loved her family. Almost every writing assignment we had, she found some way to express how much she loved her family. She would always credit her strength and confidence to the support and strong love she received from you all. Because of you, her family, she was a vocal advocate for the deaf and hard of hearing community. She was a great friend to any student that needed one; she never turned anyone away. 

I would like to not only share my condolences with the Gonzalez family but to also thank you all for allowing myself and everyone that has interacted with Emi to meet and teach her. She has taught me what it looks like to love life, be strong, and confident. You all have raised the strongest most loving young lady I have ever met.  

This has been a heartbreak for us all, she is truly missed. May you Rest In Peace my Emi, love you.

We are all so broken hearted, just doesn't seem real.  Throughout the years Emersen brought us much love,  joy, and laughter to our family. She was genuine in all she said and did.  She flourised in life to be a beautiful young Lady rising above her personal challenges.  The love she shared with Chaisen,  Andie and Jaxson was amazing and  wonderful to see. The pictures say it all , such beautiful memories.  She will always be loved and missed greatly.   Thankful for God's promise that we will all be reunited one day. I had the honor of being Emersen's veterinary teacher for the past 4 years. I witnessed her grow from a sweet silly girl to a beautiful, vivid, tenacious young woman. Emersen lit up every room with her bright and bold personality. She loved making friends and was kind to all people and animals in her presence; she loved giving compliments to everyone. Emmie was proud of her deafness and taught so many of her classmates and teachers about deaf awareness. Emersen had so many stories to tell but I will never forget when she shared with me that birds were her favorite animal because they were the first noise she heard after receiving her cochlears. 

Every school day I would get a smile, a story, or a question about my life updates: how's ......doing/going? Emersen genuinely cared about all her friends, teachers, and our school animals. We all miss her terribly; it's so hard not seeing her walk through my classroom. We love you, Emersen and you will always be a part of Tech High Veterinary.

Emerson was like a sister to me. I had her in classes through out all of highschool. She knew how to have fun, and was a amazing artist. Always wanting to help and never lazy or mean to anyone.

I am simply heartbroken to hear about Emersen’s passing. She was a fire cracker for sure and always kept things interesting. While her time with us here was too brief, the impact she made on us will be forever in our hearts. I always tell people that my “kids” taught me more about life than I taught them. As we read through the beautiful tributes to Emersen, they were a gentle reminder of the impact she had on all whether it was her beautiful smile, her infectious laugh, her warm embrace or something as simple as a friendly 'Hi' in the hallway at school.  She was a shining star amongst us all.  She will shine bright in the eternal heavenly stars, and her memory will endure through time. The gate was left wide open for Emerson whose short life was well lived.  May the Lord bless her and keep her 'til we meet again.   May her family and friends find strength amongst the sorrow and pain. Rest in peace Emersen.

Emersen knew how to live life to the fullest. She was kind to everyone around her and she knew how to make life fun. As her High School Principal, I am honored to have been a person of influence in her life who got to see her grow from this goofy 9th grader to a Senior, ready to take on the world. We're not the same without you, Emmy. But, you live on with us forever. We are... Tech High!

Emersen ; i’m so lost & devastated that you are not here, but brighter side we have memories that will keep you remembered. You will never be forgotten, your smile, your laugh, and your personality has stuck with us from now to forever. I remember when i first met you in cross bayou in 2015. You were so hyper, you always have made my days better when it was dark. First thought of you, was you are a light bulb when i come near or see you around. You always will be a light for all of us to follow that guides us to this day and forward. I watched you grown up to be the person you have become, and i’m so proud of you. I’m devastated that you couldn’t do things you wanted to do after graduation. It still don’t change the fact that i’m proud of you. You are a fighter , and strong determined young lady you are. Of course when we decide to drive down to Florida, you guys were driving up to Connecticut. We couldn’t just pass up a quick visit and your dad and I made sure our blended families met at a McDonald’s. I couldn’t believe how big you and Chaisen had gotten. Although brief this was a highlight of our trip. Love you always! We will be sure to continue our tradition. Each time we will know you are with us, so happy to see your cousins and siblings together. 

You four always had so much fun together. Beyond blessed to watch you grow up. 

Making cupcakes from scratch, we had so much fun and laughed so much. 

You all smiled as long as we let you do silly pictures too. 

Baking from scratch, Chaisen doesn’t look so sure about what’s happening but you are still smiling  while Jadon is like I’ve got this. Your dad and I grew up together, cousins always there for one another, and it was such a blessing to see you have the same relationship with the boys. 

My heart was always so full when you, Chaisen, and the boys would get together. This was one of your trips to CT, you and Chaisen had met Jadon and Bray for the first time but you couldn’t tell. You four played, laughed and had so much fun together. It was as if you had grown up together and such a blessing to watch. 

I first met her at the Freshman Experience Summer camp and she continued to be one of my positive influences here at school.   She lived larger than life here, never saw bad in anyone, and tried her best to fit in.  Her personality made her a force to be reconned with and I looked forward to her hugs and hey Mrs. Thompson shout outs.  Although I never had Emi in any of my classes, the Freshman Experience bond carried through her entire High School career.  She will always be remembered by her bubbly personality and ready smile.

I will miss Emi and will do my best to commemorate her in the yearbook and at the Senior Banquet.

I had the privilege to have met Emersen during one of our UPS outings with co-workers at Bowling. Ricky (Tomas) told me I’m bringing my daughters and I’m cutting a cake for Emersen.  She immediately got my attention.  She was so happy to meet us and she was telling us her plans when turned legal age.  She definitely stole my heart that night.  My condolences to the Family and May God give you strength during this difficult time.

Dear Gonzalez family,

The instant I heard about the loss of Emersen I was in immediate shock. I was in a loss of words and it truly broke my heart. 

Emersen was a bright, bubbly, beautiful girl. She had no mean or shy bone in her body and I truly cherished that about her. Her laugh was the sweetest and her smile was the brightest. She would always walk past me in the halls and say “Hi Taylor!” and wave & smile, and it always felt so warm in a way, even if I was having a bad day. 

I truly wish I could make it to the memorial for her but unfortunately I wont be able to.

We all value and appreciate your strength thru this and willingness to share her life with us. Emersen left us all with a message to just be kind. Hug your friends or even just say hi to them in the hallway. 

My deepest condolences are for you guys, and me & the Tech High family, will all miss her so much and she will forever live on in our hearts.
