

Kerekes, Ernest F. “Ernie” 87, of Clearwater, FL passed away July 3rd 2016. He was born on August 14,1928 in Trenton, NJ, the son of Sophie and Andrew Kerekes. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Florrene. He is survived by his daughter Lisa and grandson Derek of Safety Harbor, FL and his son Jeffrey, daughter in law Lisa and grandson Daniel of Sewell, NJ. He is also survived by his brother Andrew and wife Joan Kerekes of Wilmington, NC; sister Elsie Radvany of Holland, PA, brother in law Stanley Fors of Clearwater, FL, nephew Drew Kerekes of Wilmington, NC; niece Arlene Gordon of Newtown, PA; niece Patty Lilly of Punta Gorda, FL; niece Victoria Erickson of Salt Lake City, UT and nephew John DeFlece of Roebling, NJ. After graduation from high school, Ernie enlisted in the Army where he served in the immediate post World War II effort in Japan. After his honorable discharge, he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy at the University of Oklahoma. He began his 45 year pharmacist career after graduation and ran his own business in New Egypt, NJ for 40 years. He retired with his wife Florrene to Clearwater, FL in 1997, where they enjoyed the FL lifestyle with their friends and family. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Suncoast Hospice House in Palm Harbor, FL or to the American Red Cross.
