Proverbs 31: 10, 28, and 30 Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. Her children arise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting: but a woman that fears the Lord is to be praised.
Mary Frances Humphries Booth, 93, went to be with her Lord on April 2, 2021, in the gentle caring comfort from the staff at Oakwood Center for Living in Bay Minette, AL. She was born Oct.1, 1927, in Largo, Florida. She is predeceased by her husband Willis D. Booth, and her son, John Philippe Booth, her parents M.L. Humphries and Alice Cooper Humphries of Largo, FL; siblings Marvin Humphries, AL , Cooper Humphries, WA, and Jessie Rae McMullen, FL and her son-in-law, Richard Henry Brannan, AL. She is survived by her three daughters, Tempest Diane Booth, Clearwater, FL, Alyce Adeana Brannan, Bay Minette, AL, and Rebecca Booth Roe, Gainesville, GA; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Adrienne Adeana Young-Ramsey (Luke Ramsey),VA, Ainsley Booth Nobara (Ricardo Nobara),WA, Ashley Booth Ulmer (Kyle Ulmer), OR, Hilary Brannan Gresham (Justin Gresham), AL, Leigh Brannan Bius (Joel Bius), AL, Rachel Elizabeth Roe, NC, and James Coleman Roe, NC; 14 great grandchildren, Elijah Willis Ramsey, Caleb Ramsey, Savannah Ramsey, Aleida Booth Nobara, Vivien Booth Nobara, Ada Frances Ulmer, Oliver James Ulmer, Juliet Adeana Gresham, Tess Waverly Gresham, Davis Brannan Gresham, Mary Jewel Bius, John Henry Bius, Jake Bius, and Brooks Bius; and 7 nieces and nephews, Cindy DeMeritte, FL, Edye Foster, FL, Stephanie Lambert, FL, Lloyd Humphries, GA, Warren Humphries, AL, Sheila Humphries, TX, and Michael Humphries, WA. Frances was a faithful member of the Largo Church of Christ, Hercules and Central Churches of Christ (Clearwater, FL) and Timberlane Church of Christ in Tallahassee, where she and her husband Willis lived since 1968. Throughout her life she was involved in every aspect of church fellowship and service by teaching Sunday school, Vacation Bible School and planning and preparing for social outreach activities for the congregation. There was no better cook in the world and her delicious meals and gatherings provided an example of southern hospitality inspiring the entire family. She loved to entertain, and always had an open table for anyone who wanted to stay for dinner! Music was a great joy to Mary Frances, and she insured that all her children were involved in some form of musical training. Church of Christ congregational singing was her joy and as a result the entire family learned to harmonize well. Frances was a faithful wife and companion to her husband of 71 years. Through all their trials, tragedies and triumphs they were committed to each other and stayed the course. She showered love and affection on her family, friends, and neighbors, exemplifying the transforming power of love. In summary, our mother learned the secret of being content in any situation whether living in plenty or in want, and always prayerfully sought God’s will and direction. We will truly miss her presence, her laughter, and the joy she brought to our family, but the memories she helped us make will be with us forever. Having known Frances and Willis Booth for over 34 years was one of the highlights of our lives. Their unconditional love for us and our boys made us feel like we had family beyond blood family. Their generous and loving hugs gave us encouragement and joy. We miss them so deeply, but rejoice they are reunited once again in heaven. Our prayers are for their precious daughters and grandchildren, no longer for Mrs. Frances and Mr. Willis! You’ll forever remain in our hearts! Love you!!

Frances epitomizes true Christian love and fellowship with everyone. Her hospitality, caring manner, sacrificial attitude, and true love for Jesus Christ was evident in all she did. As some would say, "She was a walking Bible." We will miss you very much, sweet sister, and know you are praising the Lord in person now with your loving husband. Prayers for those you have left behind.

Aunt Frances, words can't begin to express how much I love you & will miss you deeply! You were always there when I needed someone to call on! You were my 2nd Mom!
I will miss your beautiful smile, your hugs, the conversations we had, the awesome meals you prepared & enjoyed around the table! The music & songs we sang at family gatherings! You never judged! You always led by example! You loved unconditionally! You loved "family"!
I feel you with me even now watching over me as my guardian angel! You are my inspiration!
I know when you walked thru those pearly gates that all the family were there to greet you! And what a joyous reunion that was!
I Love you & miss you Aunt Frances!

Growing up, Frances and Willis were my second mom and dad. From 7th grade on, I spent more time at their house than my own. It was the warmest, most joyous house and there was always singing and music. Frances called me a " little pea picker" I loved her and Willis with my whole heart and have remained friends with Diane for almost 60 years. What a wonderful example to grow up around. RIP Frances, you were one of a kind. Love 💘
